This awesome sketch art card of Jormungard from Norse Mythology is drawn by the very talented artist Richard Cox :iconrichardcox: for our Classic Mythology trading card set.

Jormungand, Jörmungandr, Midgard Serpent or World Serpent - Norse Mythology – Jormungand is a sea serpent, and the middle child of the giantess Angrboša and the god Loki. According to the Prose Edda, Odin took Loki's three children, Fenrir, Hel and Jörmungandr, and tossed Jormungand into the great ocean that encircles Midgard. The serpent grew so large that he was able to surround the Earth and grasp his own tail. When he lets go, the world will end. As a result, he received the name of the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent. Jormungand's arch-enemy is the god Thor.
