This awesome sketch art card of the Egyptian God Osiris is created by the very talented artist Tony Perna :icontonyperna: for our Classic Mythology trading card set.

Osiris (Wesir) Egyptian Mythology Osiris was an Egyptian god, usually identified as the god of the afterlife, the underworld and the dead. He is classically depicted as a green-skinned man with a pharaoh's beard, partially mummy-wrapped at the legs, wearing a distinctive crown with two large ostrich feathers at either side, and holding a symbolic crook and flail. Osiris is at times considered the oldest son of the Earth god Geb, and the sky goddess Nut, as well as being brother and husband of Isis. Osiris is not only a merciful judge of the dead in the afterlife, but also the underworld agency that granted all life, including sprouting vegetation and the fertile flooding of the Nile River.

Osiris is one of my favorite Egyptian deities next to Horus, Anubis, Bastet, and Sekhmet. But he's the most human-looking of those others, save for the green skin and the fact that he's a divine god, albeit one of the underworld. He seems more benign than Hades of the Greeks, and less of a harsh and dark ruler. Other than that, he is a good spouse to Isis and a good father to Horus (though his evil brother Set may not agree, but that's another matter).
