This set will focus on Goddesses from timeless Classic Mythologies that we have all come to love and enjoy during our lifetime. The mythologies spotlighted in this set are Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Celtic, Native American, Japanese and African.

Athena (Athene) - Athena was the Greek Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, battle strategy, warfare, strength, the arts, crafts, justice, and skill in Greek Mythology. Athena was born fully armed from Zeus' forehead. She was the virgin patron of Athens. The Athenians built the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city, Athens (Athena Parthenos), in her honour. Some of Athena's symbols include the owl, the olive tree, snakes, Aegis, armor, helmets, and spears. Medusa was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield.
